Tour Overview
1 day Jinja tour and source of the Nile is a short tour to Jinja city located on the eastern shore of Lake Victoria. It is located about 82 kilometers from Kampala the capital city of Uganda. This short tour will expose you to the hidden treasures of Jinja and among these include; source of the Nile, Ssezibwa falls, Bujagali falls, Jinja city tour, horseback riding, boat cruise, tasting local food and boat cruise on the Nile River. You will engage with different locals to learn about their ways of life, learn about some words. Expect to visit Mabira forest and Kalagala falls as well. If you are interested in other activities like bungee jumping, still it is okay you can let us know earlier so that we include it on the to do list.
The Day’s Program
On this day, our driver guide will pick you as from the agreed pick up point, he will take you through the itinerary and hit the road to Jinja. You will drive for about 1hour and have an en-route to Mabira forest in Mukono district. The local guide will take you through the forest experience, visit Ssezibwa falls, you will spot different bird species, learn about tree species and then embark on the journey. Upon arrival I Jinja, connect to the source of the Nile where you will see where the longest river in the world starts from. You will take pictures, of yourself and then do boat cruise on the river. After that, you will return, do a city tour, and visit a local restaurant for a hot lunch. Bujagali waterfalls will be waiting for you and thereafter exit Jinja. On your way as you return, you will do horseback riding in Kayunga, visit Kalagala waterfalls and proceed to Kampala. Your driver guide will drop you at the agreed point and thus marking the end of your 1 day Jinja tour and source of the Nile.
