Overview
3 days Aberdare and Sweetwaters chimpanzee sanctuary is an amazing short wildlife safari which will expose you to the unique Aberdare ranges which harbor a number of wildlife species. You will also have the opportunity to visit Sweetwaters chimpanzee sanctuary where you will encounter orphaned chimpanzees. Most of the lodges in Aberdare are at high altitude giving you the best scenic view of the wildlife while you relax at your terrace. If you want to have a longer stay, you can add Masai Mara national reserve on your itinerary or gorilla trekking experience in Uganda. It is so fascinating to combine wildlife with mountain gorilla experience in Bwindi national park or Mgahinga national park.
Day by Day Program
Day 1: Transfer from Nairobi to Aberdare National Park
On this first day of the 3 day Aberdare and Sweetwaters chimpanzee sanctuary, you will be picked from the hotel or at the airport by our company representative. He will greet you, take you through your itinerary and then hit the road to the park. You will drive through the countryside in the white highlands, you will be fascinated by the breathtaking views of the coffee plantations, tea plantations, bananas and homesteads. You will connect to your lodge upon arrival in the park, check in, enjoy a hot lunch. If time allows, you can do an evening game drive to spot some wildlife.
Day 2: Game Drive and visit Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary
Arise in the early morning, enjoy a continental breakfast, meet your drive guide and head out to the park to spot wildlife. You will drive to Sweetwaters chimpanzee sanctuary, you will have an encounter of the chimpanzees, elephants, wild dogs, hyenas, rhinos, kobs, cheetahs among other wildlife. You will enjoy a picnic lunch, return to the lodge for dinner with full memories.
Day 3: Check out and Departure
Enjoy a lazy breakfast, check out of the lodge, meet your driver guide and head back to Nairobi for your flight to other destinations.
