Overview
On the 7 days Uganda Gorillas and Tanzania’s Serengeti safari, you are assured of trekking mountain gorillas in Uganda’s Bwindi impenetrable forest national park located in the southern part of Uganda. On the same trip, you will visit Tanzania’s Serengeti national park which is the most visited national park in Tanzania being iconic for wildebeest migration. In a span of 7 days, you will visit two countries giving you a glimpse of both tropical touch and open savanna. The trip will start from Uganda and end in Tanzania however, you can start your trip from Tanzania and end from Uganda.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park
On the first day, of Uganda gorillas and Tanzania Serengeti safari our driver guide will pick you from the Airport, he will greet you, take you through the itinerary then hit the road to Bwindi. You will drive for about 9hours with stopovers at Kayabwe for Equator experience, you will have another stopover in Mbarara for lunch thereafter proceed to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park, arriving in the evening hours, connect to the booked lodge, check in, have dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable national park and Batwa community walk
On this day, you will arise in the early morning at 6:30am have a delicious breakfast, meet your driver guide and transfer to the park headquarter for a briefing about gorilla trekking experience in Uganda. You will be assigned a gorilla family to track, you will be given a ranger guide who will be leading you to the gorilla family and he will be replying all your queries. After you have met the gorillas, you will spend 1hour in the presence of mountain gorillas taking their pictures, you will thereafter head back to the lodge to freshen up and rest. You may engage in the Batwa community or decide to rest.
Day 3: Fly to Entebbe and then to Arusha
Unfold your day with a scrumptious breakfast, check out and transfer to Kihiihi airstrip to catch a flight to Entebbe international airport for a flight to Arusha in Tanzania. On arrival in Arusha, our representative will welcome you warmly in Tanzania and he will take you to the hotel, check in, have dinner and get ready for another exploration in the next day.
Day 4: Transfer to Serengeti national park
You will arise in the morning on a scrumptious breakfast, meet your driver guide and transfer to Serengeti national park Tanzania’s most iconic national park. it will take you about 7hours. You will arrive in the evening hours, check in, have dinner and overnight.
Day 5 &6: Whole day explore Serengeti national park
In these 2 days, you will explore the beauty of Serengeti. Expect to encounter Africa’s big 5 animals which are; leopards, lions, buffaloes, rhinos and elephants. You will encounter wildebeests and if you visit in dry season in the months of June to September you will spot wildebeest migration where millions of wildebeests migrate from Serengeti to Kenya’s Masai Mara. This migration is the largest animal movement on earth. Expect to spot other wildlife for example elands, giraffes, kobs, hartebeests, zebras, hyenas, cheetahs to mention but a few. You will also enjoy the endless plains of Serengeti which will give you breathtaking views, you will enjoy pic lunch. If you also enjoy night life in the wilderness you might engage in the night game drives to spot nocturnal animals and how they behave. You will retire at the lodge with lots of memories.
Day 7: Check out and departure
On the last leg of your 7 days of Uganda gorillas and Tanzania Serengeti safari, you will wake up on a lazy breakfast, check out, meet your driver guide and transfer to Arusha to catch an international flight back home or to other destinations and this will mark the end of your 7 days of Uganda gorillas and Tanzania Serengeti safari.
