Overview
5 days Bwindi gorillas and Masai Mara luxury tour is an amazing trip that will expose you to Africa’s big 5 wildlife for example; lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes and rhinos. You will spot other animals in Masai Mara for example; giraffes, kobs, cheetahs, hyenas, birds, beautiful sceneries among others. You will have the chance to have an interface with mountain gorillas in their natural habitat, therefore this trip is spiced with open savanna wildlife and enclosed canopies of the impenetrable forests of Bwindi. On the encounter with mountain gorillas, you will spend 1hour in the presence of mountain gorillas learning more about their behaviors. The trip will happen in 2 countries that is Kenya and Uganda.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Masai Mara
On the first day of the 5 days Bwindi gorillas and Masai Mara luxury trip, you will fall in the open hands of our driver guide who will warmly greet you, take you through your luxury trip and thereafter, he will transfer you to Masai Mara national reserve which is one of Kenya’s iconic tourist destinations and it boasts for its concentration of wildlife, beautiful sceneries, rift valley escarpment among others. On your way, you will have an en-route lunch, then proceed to the booked lodge in Masai Mara, check in in the evening and acclimatize with the jungle. You will have dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Full day exploring Masai Mara
On your second day of 5 days Bwindi gorillas and Masai Mara luxury trip, you will arise in the morning, enjoy a scrumptious breakfast and meet your driver guide to hit the road to the jungle where you will spend the entire day. You will be welcomed by beautiful sceneries which will be decorated with wildlife for example herds of buffaloes, elephants, rhinos, leopards, lions and these are Africa’s big 5. Other animals you will encounter are; gazelles, kobs, cheetahs, elands, hyenas, giraffes to mention but a few. You will have a picnic lunch and then proceed with the evening game drive spotting different species of wildlife. At the dusk, you will retire to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Fly to Entebbe and Fly to Bwindi national park
On the third day of the 5 days Bwindi gorillas and Masai Mara luxury trip, you will have an early breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet your driver guide for a transfer to the airstrip for a flight to Entebbe international airport. Expect to land in Uganda in the afternoon time and our driver guide will be ready to receive you, you will have lunch and then board a domestic flight to Kihiihi airstrip in southwestern Uganda and this flight takes about 2hours. Upon arrival at Kihiihi, our driver guide will pick you and transfer you to the lodge, check in and have a relaxed evening.
Day 4: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park
On the fourth day of the 5 days Bwindi gorillas and Masai Mara luxury trip, you will arise in the early morning for a mouthwatering breakfast, carry your lunch, and meet your driver guide who will transfer you to the park headquarters for a briefing about gorilla trekking etiquettes. After the briefing, you will be divided in the group of 8 people and each group is allocated gorilla family to trek. You will be assigned a ranger guide who is knowledgeable about gorillas and he will be answering all your questions. Gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park takes about 30 minutes to 5 hours depending on where the gorilla family is located. After meeting the gorillas, you will spend 1 hour in their presence learning more about their behaviors, how they associate, how they carry out their daily activities. You will take pictures and record videos for memories and to show people back home. After gorilla trekking, you will return to the starting point to receive a certificate for participating in gorilla trekking in Bwindi, you will then meet your driver guide who will transfer you to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Departure flight to Entebbe
On the last day of your luxury trip, you will have breakfast, check out of the lodge, meet your driver guide to transfer you to Kihiihi airstrip for a flight to Entebbe international airport where you will board an international flight back home or to other destinations and this will mark the end of 5 days Bwindi gorillas and Masai Mara luxury trip.
