Safari Overview
3 days Ruaha national park wildlife safari is an amazing wildlife safari that will take you to Tanzania’s largest national park that offers amazing sceneries and abundant wildlife. The park is remote and this means it has fewer invasions of tourists therefore if you visit it, you will feel like you own the entire park. Some of the wildlife that dwell in Ruaha national park include; elephants, lions, leopards and buffaloes, hyenas, African wild dogs, greater and lesser kudus, sable and roan antelopes, zebras, impalas, bush bucks, water bucks, elands among others. The park is a home to over 570 bird species with some being endemic and others being migratory birds. Some of the bird species in Ruaha national park include; yellow-collared lovebirds, ashy starling, red-billed hornbills, Bateleurs, African fish eagles among others. This 3 days Ruaha national park safari is going to be mostly game drives where you will be exploring most of the park’s wildlife, visiting kopjes and beautiful sceneries.
Day by Day Program
Day 1: Pick up and Transfer to Ruaha National Park
Upon arrival at the airport or from your hotel, your driver guide will pick you, take you through the itinerary and then embark on the safari. You will arrive in the park and proceed to your booked lodge, check in, enjoy a hot lunch and in the evening you will do an evening game drive to have a sample of the wildlife that the park accommodates. You will spot buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, zebras among others. At dusk you will you will retire to your lodge for a scrumptious dinner and an overnight.
Day 2: Full day Exploring Ruaha National Park
On this day, you will have your delicious breakfast, get your lunch box, meet your driver guide and head to the park headquarters where you will register, get your ranger guide and get lost into the jungle. You will spot most of the wildlife, including having lunch overlooking Ruaha River, and at lunch time expect most of the animals to come to the river to drink and this will give you more advantage to see some wildlife species that you might have missed during the game drive. You will spot birds as well, visit different kopjes and at dusk, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Check out and Departure
On the last leg of the trip, you will engage in an early morning game drive to maximize your wildlife encounters, return to the lodge, grab a cup of tea and then check out and be transferred back to the airport or at the hotel in Arusha.
