Safari Overview
4 days Tsavo West and Tsavo East national park safari is one of the best Kenya wildlife safari that will take you to Kenya’s largest protected area. Furthermore, expect to encounter Africa’s Big 5—lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants and rhinoceroses—during the journey. Tsavo national parks are famous for hosting red elephants due to their brown soils. You will encounter other wildlife for example Masai giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, long-necked gerenuk, jackals, birds among others. As a result, you will savor picnic meals along with picturesque views.
Day by Day Program
Day 1: Transfer to Tsavo West National Park
On this first day, you will be picked from the hotel or at the Airport by you driver guide, he will brief you about the trip and then hit the road. The park is a home to both savanna, acacia woodland which harbor wildlife and big cats. You arrive in the park, connect to your lodge, check in, have lunch and in the evening do a game drive to encounter some wildlife. You will later return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Full Day Game Drive in Tsavo West
Arise in the morning, grab a scrumptious breakfast, get your lunchbox, meet your driver guide and head to the jungle. You will spend the whole day in the wilderness, spotting wild animals, visiting kopjes to clearly see animals, you will enjoy picnic lunch and then proceed with the game drive. Return to the lodge in the evening after sunset, have dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Transfer to Tsavo East National Park
You will wake up on a scrumptious breakfast, check out of the lodge and transfer to Tsavo East. You will do a game drive where you will encounter lions, buffaloes, red elephants, rhinos, kudus, giraffes, zebras among others. Enjoy a hot picnic lunch, visit Satao camp where there is a waterhole where animals gather and drink water. You will enjoy sunset views as the sun melts into Sagala hills. After this long day, head to the lodge, check in, have dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Check out and Departure
After a mouthwatering breakfast, engage in a guided nature walk with a ranger guide, spotting birds, being very close to wildlife as you take pictures and videos. You will return to the lodge, check out and head to Nairobi for a flight back home or to other destinations. You can combine this itinerary with Amboseli national park or engage in the gorilla trekking experience in Uganda in Bwindi impenetrable national park.
