Overview.
3 days Rwanda gorilla tour. Spend an hour with these endangered mountain gorillas in the jungle through gorilla trekking. This is one of the Africa’s memorable experience on your safari since you witness and learn the gorilla behaviors and movements in the Volcanoes national park. This park is a few among the gorilla destinations located in the Virunga massif.
Take part in other optional activities like visiting the Rwanda twin lakes, immerse yourself in the Rwandan culture by visiting ibyiwachu Cultural Village. End the tour by taking a city visit to notable attractions like the genocide memorial grounds., local markets like Kimironko market and great city views.
Day by Day Program
Day 1: Pick up from Kigali city and travel to Volcanoes National Park
Be picked from an agreed point by the driver guide and then embark on a journey to Volcanoes national park that will last for 3 hours. Enjoy the country side covered with unique and beautiful hills, tea plantation and more. Arrive and head to the lodge booked for your overnight stay.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking experience
Wake up excited to meet these gentle giants in their natural setting through trekking. Take breakfast and join other trekkers at the park offices for briefing, assignment of the park ranger guide, hiring Porters and cross checking if the gorilla permits. Begin the search in the forest as you meet other attractions like birds, plants, landscapes and more.
On meeting the family trekked, spend an hour in their presence capturing memories as you learn about the behaviors of these creatures. Later on, head back to the lodge for lunch and start sharing the experience you just gained in the jungle.
After lunch, take an optional activity of either visiting the twin lakes (Ruhondo and Burera) or taking a community tour of Ibyiwachu cultural village.
Day 3: Transfer back to Kigali city tour
Leave the lodge after a leisure breakfast and then take a 3 hours’ journey back to Kigali the capital city of the republic of Rwanda. Take a city tour to one of the most remarkable attractions in the city such as the genocide memorial ground, the local markets, art and gallery centers and more. Be dropped at the airport to catch up with your flight back home.
