Safari Overview
5 days Volcanoes and Nyungwe primates a safari is an amazing safari that will expose you to most visited national parks in Rwanda. This trip will expose you to two national parks in Rwanda that is Volcanoes national park and Nyungwe forest national park, and expect to have an encounter with mountain gorillas in Volcanoes national park and chimpanzees in Nyungwe forest national park. You will engage in Rwandan culture where by you will visit Gorilla Guardian village also known as Ibyi’wacu cultural village. You will enjoy Kigali city tour as well.
Day by Day Program
Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
On the first leg of your safari, our driver guide will be waiting to receive you at the Airport, he will greet you, welcome you to the land of a thousand hills, and he will take you through the itinerary and then hit the road to the countryside where you will drive for about 3hours, connect to your booked lodge, check in, have lunch and then relax.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking and Gorilla Guardian Village
Arise in the early morning, enjoy a scrumptious breakfast, meet your driver guide, meet your driver guide who will transfer you to the briefing center where you will be assigned a gorilla family, you will assigned a ranger guide who will help you to locate the gorilla family to track. You will spend 1hour in the presence of the mountain gorillas taking pictures and videos, you will return to the lodge freshen up, and in the evening head out to the gorilla guardian village where you experience Rwandan culture through dances, singing among others. Retire to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National Park
Arise in the morning, grab a scrumptious breakfast, check out of the lodge, meet your lodge, meet your driver guide and transfer to Nyungwe forest national park. You will connect to the lodge, check in, have lunch and have an overnight stay.
Day 4: Chimpanzee Trekking
Another amazing day is here where you will wake up in the morning, grab a scrumptious breakfast, meet your driver guide and transfer to Uwinka briefing center, you will be allocated chimpanzee troupe, and you will be with a ranger guide who will help you to locate the chimpanzees. You will have 1hour in the presence of the chimpanzees taking pictures and videos, return to the lodge, relax, freshen up and relax. You have an option of doing a canopy walk or stay at the lodge.
Day 5: Check out and Departure
On the last leg of your safari, you will wake up on a lazy breakfast, check out of the lodge, meet your driver guide and transfer to Kigali, and depending on your time for the flight, you will engage in the city tour, visit Kigali genocide center, Kimironko market and then to the Airport to catch a flight back home or to other destinations.
