Overview
6 Days Uganda flying gorilla and Serengeti great migration is a super luxury safari between Uganda and Tanzania and it will expose you to the most visited national parks in both countries. This safari is for travelers who do not want to spend a lot of time driving on the road but rather spend more time with animals. You will visit Bwindi impenetrable national park in Uganda located in southwestern Uganda where almost half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas dwell. Bwindi impenetrable national park is divided into 4 gorilla sectors that is Buhoma gorilla sector, Nkuringo gorilla sector, Rushaga gorilla sector and Ruhija gorilla sector and these sectors have habituated gorillas ready for tracking. You will also visit Serengeti national park where the great migration of wildebeests, zebras and gazelles start from crossing to Masai Mara national reserve in Kenya for greener pastures. To have a comfortable safari and spend more time with wildlife, this should be your best itinerary.
Day by Day Program
Day 1: Fly to Kihihi Airstrip from Entebbe
On the first day at Entebbe international airport in Uganda, our representative will escort you to catch a domestic flight to Kihihi airstrip in southwestern Uganda where you will meet your driver guide who will transfer you to the lodge. On your domestic flight expect to enjoy the scenic view of the country from above. You will see different homesteads, rolling hills and green vegetation. Relax at the lodge in Bwindi.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Arise in the morning, have a scrumptious breakfast, meet your driver guide who will transfer you to the park headquarters where you will be briefed about gorilla trekking etiquette, you will be allocated a gorilla family to track and be assigned a ranger guide who will take you to the thick forests to have an encounter with gentle giants of the forest. After you have met the gorillas, you will spend 1hour in their presence as you take pictures, videos and observing how fascinating it is to see them do their daily routine. You will return to the park headquarters to meet your driver guide who will transfer you back to the lodge to freshen up. If you want to engage in the Batwa cultural tour, you still have that option or relax at the lodge.
Day 3: Check out and Fly to Arusha from Entebbe
On this day, you will wake up on a lazy breakfast, check out of the lodge and be transferred to Kihihi airstrip and fly to Entebbe, from Entebbe catch a flight to Arusha in Tanzania. On arrival in Tanzania, our company representative will be ready to receive you and transfer you to the hotel.
Day 4: Fly to Seronera Airstrip in Serengeti National Park
Another day of adventure is here. Wake up in the morning, greet your intestines with a scrumptious breakfast, meet your driver guide and be transferred to Arusha airport for a flight to Seronera airstrip in Serengeti national park. The driver guide will be ready to receive you, transfer you to the lodge, check in, relax, have lunch and do an evening game drive where you will spot some wildlife species. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Full Day Exploring Serengeti National Park
This is the day where you will explore the beauty of Serengeti national park and engage in the great migration. After a scrumptious breakfast, get your camera and binoculars ready with an extra battery, get your lunchbox, meet your driver guide and head to the park headquarter, register, get a ranger guide and proceed to the park, you will be welcomed by herds of buffaloes, elephants, rhinoceroses and leopards and these are the ones that make up Africa’s big 5. You will proceed to the northern Serengeti where dramatic migration happens where millions of wildebeests, zebras, gazelles cross river Mara to Kenya for greener pastures. This migration pulls savanna predators which are lions, hyenas, leopards, cheetahs, jackals and vultures as they be looking for the kill. You will visit different kopjes, enjoy your picnic lunch and then return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Check out and Fly to Arusha
You will wake up on a delicious breakfast, check out of the lodge, meet your driver guide and transfer to Seronera airstrip for a flight to Arusha where you will catch a flight back to your destination and this marks the end of your 6 days Uganda flying gorilla and Serengeti Great migration.
