Safari Overview
8 days Tanzania wildlife and Uganda gorilla trekking experience, is one of the classic wildlife experiences that every traveler should never miss. In a span of 8 days, you will visit Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Serengeti national park in Tanzania and then cross to Uganda for gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi impenetrable national park. On this wildlife safari, you expect to encounter Africa big 5 which are lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes and elephants. Other wildlife to encounter on this wildlife safari and gorilla trekking experience include; cheetahs, wildebeests, giraffes, warthogs, elands, gazelles, Dik-Dik and then endangered mountain gorillas.
Day by Day Program
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
On this first day, you will be welcomed by our company representative who will take you through the itinerary and then take you to the hotel in Arusha. You will check in the lodge, enjoy a scrumptious dinner and wait for the next day’s exploration.
Day 2: Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Arise on a scrumptious breakfast, meet your driver guide and transfer to Ngorongoro conservation crater for a morning game drive and you will descend 600 meters to the crater base where you will be welcomed by herds of elephants, buffaloes, lions, zebras, wildebeests among others. You will have a picnic lunch and then proceed with evening game drive as you explore the beauty of Ngorongoro. You will appreciate why Ngorongoro is called the animal Garden of Eden. Proceed to your lodge, check in, have dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Transfer to Serengeti National Park
On day 3 of the 8 Days Tanzania Wildlife and Uganda gorilla trekking experience, you will arise in the morning, greet your intestines with a mouthwatering breakfast, check out of the lodge, meet your driver guide and transfer to Serengeti national park. The name Serengeti is a local dialect meaning “Endless Plains”. You will check in the lodge in the evening and if time allows, you will do an evening game drive or stay relaxed at the lodge.
Day 4: Full Day Game Drives in Serengeti National Park
On this day, our driver guide will be ready to pick you from the lodge after breakfast and then head out to the jungle where you will be meeting lions, buffaloes, leopard, elephants and rhinos and these are Africa’s big 5. You will spot other wildlife for example; hyenas, cheetahs, water bucks, birds among others. You will explore Seronera area which is an area of high wildlife concentration. Your day will be spent in the wilderness and then return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Transfer to Arusha for a Flight to Entebbe International Airport
Wake up on a lazy breakfast, check out of the lodge, meet your driver guide and transfer to Arusha for a flight to Entebbe international airport in Uganda. You will enjoy you lunch in Arusha land at Entebbe international airport where our representative will be ready to receive you or yet another adventure in Uganda. He will transfer you to the hotel in Entebbe for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
On day 6 of 8 days Tanzania wildlife and Uganda gorilla trekking experience, you will have a scrumptious breakfast, meet your driver guide and hit the road to southwestern Uganda where Bwindi impenetrable national park is located. You will have a stopover at the Equator in Kayabwe and proceed to Mbarara city for lunch and then hit the road again to Bwindi. You will arrive in the evening, connect to your lodge, and have dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 7: Gorilla Trekking Experience
Today you will have a hearty breakfast and meet your driver guide, who will transfer you to the park headquarters for a briefing about the gorilla trekking experience. You will be allocated a gorilla family to track, and each family is visited by a group of eight people. Trekking lasts from thirty minutes to five hours, depending on gorilla distance. After meeting them, you will have one hour of quiet observation to see how they move, eat, and interact, while you take photos and videos with a charged camera. You will have lunch at a time chosen by your ranger, then return to the briefing center where your driver guide will transfer you to the lodge. If you wish to engage in Batwa cultural tours, that option remains available, or you may simply relax at the lodge.
Day 8: Check out and Departure
On the last leg of your 8 days Tanzania wildlife and Uganda gorilla trekking experience, you will check out of the lodge after breakfast, meet your driver guide and hit the road to Entebbe. You will have an en-route lunch and proceed with the journey to the airport for your next destination.
